A Sicilian American Tale

Romolo & Angela Cappello came to America from Sicily in 1958. With them they brought know how and a dream.

Ten years later, Romolo's factory opened in San Mateo. Working hard with their children, they achieved success in building a business, a community, and a tradition of excellence for forty years.

Angela is the soul of Romolo's, providing caring service to each customer. Her way is our  guiding light, to make people happy with goodies and sharing.

Their grandsons Joe and Michael, stepped up to carry on the tradition of Romolo's Cannoli and Spumoni Factory. Learning directly from the Nonni, they vowed to produce desserts according to the original recipes, while using the best ingredients available.

Michael and soon to be wife Yelena are huge helps as well. All Romolo's employees are excellent people who care about our customers and fine desserts.
